| Harry Lewis, Founder of Support Your Local Farmer T-Shirts |
The idea of Support Your Local Farmer T-shirts started when Harry Lewis, a New England produce farmer, heard about the
closing of yet another farm in New Hampshire.
Harry, a graduate of the University of New Hamsphire, with a degree
in Plant Science, started one of the first pick-your-own strawberry farms in Concord. He eventually expanded on the produce
farm his grandfather bought and his father had farmed for many years, growing vegetables on the land and adding greenhouses
each year. With help from his family Harry currently operates the Lewis Farm, selling compost and growing produce in his fields
and in seven greenhouses. Harry also sells his produce at two farmer's markets.
His original shirts
were sold to farmers and those who support farmers. With the help of another family member they have added other designs and
colors with the original logo and the shortened logo - Support Your Local Farmer.
Support Your Local
Farmer T-shirts have been sold throughout the United States, and also in Scotland, Japan, and England.
